The pack consists as usual of 52 cards. The four suits are represented by colours (blue/purple/red/yellow), and the numbers 1-13 by the letters A-M, each corresponding to the type of picture (As are aliens, Bs butterflies, etc). As suggested, this makes it simpler for a young child to learn, compared to a “grown-up” deck. The colours and letters will reinforce learning.(There are also four cards, one of each colour, which are blank except for the coloured border. I have no idea why; either they are spares for you to draw pictures on (unlikely), or it was simply easier for the print run.)See attached photos of the leaflet giving instructions for the games. These suggest suitability for 3-4 year olds, but I suspect most children under 5 would struggle.A card pack which will appeal to young children. Slightly expensive at £8.
I'm happy with the set and the games look good. The box wasn't well packed though and is quite bashed which could have caused the cards inside to slip out.
We have a few of these card packs that contain sets that you can use for multiple games. The fact is that you can use a normal pack of cards to play all these games and hundreds more, but '2 Player Card Games For Kids' have been created to be more visually appealing to children.Rather than standard cards you get 'families' of items such as ice creams or dinosaurs. Rather than mummy, daddy, master, maid, you get weird options like cheese car. This makes them good fun for a child's personality, but they are a little busy and confusing to younger players.The games are simple to learn and easy to play, most are what you play already. The quality of the cards is good and I likes the illustrations. As a set of cards they are incredibly portable for a go bag or in the car. I think for a family that has a few siblings this would make a nice set as the irreverent style of the cards appeals to kids and the games are simple to pick up.
This is a really fun pack of playing cards. These card are beautifully designed and are vibrant and engaging for kids and adults.The box that holds the cards and instructions in is quite flimsy and has already torn slightly on the edge, so I do not think it will hold together very long. Inside the playing cards are sealed in a plastic wrap.The tactile experience of the playing cards is the quality and thickness is good. They are a standard card size and they have a glossy smooth finish to them which can be wiped clean with ease if they get a little dirty. They are also waterproof and difficult to crease. The playing cards have good flexibility, springing back to the original state after a shuffle. The finish cut is perfect, the edges are clean cut, smooth and rounded corners and they feel really nice to hold and touch. The colour and print on the playing cards are done well, they are clear, easy to read and are clean with no colour bleeding. The images of the various animals/ monsters/ cars etc are so cute, our 5 year old absolutely loves them, as do I.The cards do not get stuck inside the box which means they can be easily removed by both adults and kids. You get 56 playing cards in the pack and these are a lovely alternative to traditional playing cards.There are six games listed on the instructions and how to play:SNAP - 2+ players suitable for ages 3+Pairs – 2+ players suitable for ages 3+Go Fish – 2-6 players suitable for ages 4+Chasing the Alien – 2-8 players ages 3+Crazy Monsters – 2-7 players suitable for ages 4+Three & Fours – 2-6 players suitable for ages 4+I think a three year old, depending on their cognitive ability and hand eye coordination, would struggle playing some of these games. Also most 3 year old do not have the ability to read and some of the characters (e.g.: Elves and goblins) can easily be confused by someone so young. That said our 5 year old had no problem. So I would say these cards are more suited for school age children through to adulthood.We have played a couple of the traditional games before but not all of them. The instruction leaflet is very handy, simple and easy to follow, even our 5 year old got the hang of it pretty quickly. Her favourite games were Pairs, Snap and Chase the Alien. These provided endless fun and she just wanted to keep playing over and over again.The current price of £7.99 is good value for money based on the quality and durability of the finish to the cards and the variety of games you can play. These playing cards have excellent longevity. I am sure there is more games that can be played with these, like a colour matching game for instance, or maybe a form of top trumps.I think this playing card set would make a great stocking filler.Due to the pack size they are easy to store away when not in use. Perfect for kids and great for long car journeys, taking away on holiday or just having fun with friends and family at home.
I've had a lot of fun playing cards with my son (6) since we got this set of two player card games.They're colourful, clear and can be used to play a variety of games - with colour coding (red, blue, yellow and purple) instead of traditional suits, and animals/things instead of traditional numbers/faces.So far we've focused on Snap and Go Fish, but the other games are all simple to pick up and fun to play, too, and they each offer their own distinct pacing, with Pairs and Snap being more frenetic and others like Go Fish that are (marginally) more sedate...The deck itself is standard size so easy to pack away and store in a games cupboard, or in a suitcase for going on holiday.I think the suggested age for playing some of the games is a little optimistic, with at least a couple of games listed as 3+ years but I think these might be quite tough for kids as young as three to grasp.That said I've got two kids, and I is in his peak 'I want to learn new games' phase so it's given us a great opportunity for bonding... And gentle competitiveness.All in all I'm happy with these cards, they're a very reasonable price as a gateway to more advanced card games when my son's a bit older. The quality is great, illustrations and colour coding work well, and the games - crucially - are all really good fun to play!

This card game is great for younger children. My 4-year-old loves playing snap with it, we usually match the colours, but you could just as easily play using the pictures instead. The cards are bright, engaging, and easy for little hands to hold. These cards are perfect for travelling with too and coming a handy packet. This is a pack of cards that uses colourful pictures and descriptive words to be used in simple games such as snap.Instead of suits you have colours (yellow, red , purple and blue) and instead of numbers characters arranged by a letter and description so Red Angry Alien, Purple Awesome Alien and so on and the letters range up to M.Comes with a small insert of simple games that, although some may be more suited to more than two players.The cards are well made and the printing is bright and clear with engaging pictures and clear text so helps with reading skills.Good value and I would recommend.
Some nice bright cards a good quality deck with simple two player game instructions. The cards are not thin or jagged edges like you can get on some cards from cutting machines. They look really well made. I also personally like that the deck is not too tight in the box meaning children can tip them out and put them in easier reducing the chances of the box being ripped. Easy to take around with them and good fun to play with the family.

Super fun for the kids! We have had great fun with this pack of cards, there’s a few different games that can be played, it’s perfect. We use ours for journeys in the car, less screen time, perfect. My 5 year old found them easy to use and understand, and they definitely give the fun factor! The cards themselves, great quality and well made, the colours are all very vibrant! Perfect for the kids! 10/10, I would highly recommend.
Classic fun card games, some of which I remember playing! This is a much more fun looking card deck than I had though. Nice fun pictures, lots of choices of games and a nice standard size so you can take them anywhere with you. Good for road trips and traveling in general. Decent quality and very hard to get wrong to be honest. I am pretty impressed with these for what they would cost.
